Both options offer exceptional non-slip properties. Stainless steel tops are coated with a grit overlay for enhanced traction. Plastic tops, made from LDPE, exceed industry standards for non-slip surfaces and are particularly suitable for facilities that frequently remove and store platforms due to their lightweight and durable nature.

Among all the starting block options available, there are two distinct types: Competitive and Recreational. Competitive and Recreational blocks differ in both design and functionality, and we are here to assist you in determining the best fit for your facility. The Expansion Post Anchoring System is a patented innovation that allows for the easy installation of new platforms into existing dual post anchors. The platform legs expand within the anchors, eliminating the need for anchor wedges and providing a secure fit.

The Backstroke Start Device helps swimmers achieve a more powerful and efficient backstroke start. It features a non-slip wedge that attaches to the pool wall, providing a stable surface for the swimmer's feet. The Backstroke Start Device with an Automatic Retraction model automatically retracts after use, while the Stationary Backstroke Start Wedge provides a cost-effective option for training.

Regular cleaning is crucial for ensuring the longevity of your starting blocks and minimizing rust formation. The frequency depends on the pool environment. The 2010 ADA Standards mandate that all public pools and spas must have an ADA-compliant means of access. This typically means installing either a ramp or a pool lift.

Key features of an ADA-compliant pool lift include:

• Minimum 300 lbs weight capacity

• Unassisted operation from both the deck and water

• Solid seat at least 16" wide

• Seat that lowers to a minimum depth of 18" below the stationary water level

• Specific location requirements (e.g., within 48" of water, 16" from the pool edge)

Spectrum Aquatics offers a variety of American-made ADA-compliant pool lifts, including:

• Battery-Powered Lifts: These lifts are self-operable and offer features like flip-up armrests, padded headrests, and wireless remote controls. Examples include the Aqua Buddy, Horizon, Motion Trek, and Traveler series.

• Water-Powered Lifts: These lifts utilize water pressure for operation, eliminating the need for battery recharging. Examples include the Gallatin and Lolo series.

Spectrum Aquatics offers lifts with varying weight capacities to accommodate a range of users.

• Battery-powered lifts have weight capacities ranging from 300 lbs. - 500 lbs.

• Water-powered lifts have weight capacities up to 600 lbs.

Yes, Spectrum Aquatics offers pool lifts suitable for spa applications. The Gallatin WP 400, for instance, is designed for both pool and spa use. We also have extensions that can be used on our lifts, making them better suited for spa applications. 

While Spectrum Aquatics offers a manual pool lift model (Elkhorn), it is not ADA-compliant. ADA regulations require lifts to be operable without assistance, which manual models do not fulfill.

Spectra-Shield® is a protective coating applied to Spectrum Aquatics' stainless steel lifts. This coating provides maximum corrosion resistance, ensuring the lift's durability and longevity in harsh pool environments.

Spectrum Aquatics offers a 5-year structural warranty on all their pool lifts. Additionally, they provide a 2-year warranty on electronics for battery-powered models. They incorporate molded nut inserts, eliminating sharp exterior nuts and enhancing safety. A step reference locator further aids users.

Spectrum's stainless steel transfer rails are designed to assist individuals safely in entering and exiting the pool. They are custom-built to your specifications and can be designed in U-shaped or H-shaped configurations with various lengths, heights, and stainless steel options. These rails meet ADA Requirements when installed according to accessibility guidelines.

All Spectrum Aquatics Lifeguard Chairs are designed with safety in mind. They feature non-slip surfaces on footboards, platforms, and ladder treads for secure footing. The chairs are also equipped with UV-protected seats for lifeguard comfort and longevity of the chair. Stainless steel components are always hand-polished and treated with our 3-Step Process, protected by Spectra-Shield® for a durable and corrosion-resistant finish.

Movable lifeguard chairs like the Discovery and Torrey II models offer flexibility in positioning, allowing lifeguards to oversee different areas of the pool as needed. They are equipped with wheels for easy transport, and the Discovery can add a Ballast System for increased stability.

Yes, the Hyalite lifeguard chair is specifically designed to conform to federal OSHA regulations, which are mandated in some states. It features compliant guardrail height and forward distance from the platform, a 360° swivel chair, and a rear access ladder.

Absolutely. The Marshall model, for example, is versatile enough for lifeguarding, judging, coaching, or instructing.

The Mendota is our #1 selling lifeguard chair, and is made from recycled high-density polyethylene material, making it durable, environmentally friendly, and resistant to corrosion, oil, insects, fungi, salt spray, and rust.

The Ballast System is designed to provide extra stability for lifeguard chairs, particularly in high-wind or heavy-use applications. It attaches easily to existing portable chairs and is made of molded LDPE with top and side-mounted fill and drain ports. When filled with water, it adds significant weight for increased stability. Ballast Systems are available on the Discovery, Marshall, and Mendota.

Pool covers are often not used daily because they can be heavy and cumbersome when deploying and retracting. Spectrum Aquatics has designed semi-automatic wall-mounted Reel systems like the Blackfoot III to solve this problem.

• Bitterroot Series Deck Storage System: This system offers various sizes to accommodate different pool sizes and cover weights. All the Bitterroot options are hand-cranked reel systems stored on the pool deck. Covers are available. 

• Blackfoot Wall-Mounted Storage Systems: These systems are available in manual (Blackfoot I) and semi-automatic (Blackfoot III) options, saving deck space and offering easy cover deployment and retrieval. Remote control for easier access is available. 

The Portable Power Winder is an add-on for existing pool cover reel systems. It automates the process of deploying and retracting your pool cover, making it faster and easier, and helps to ensure daily pool cover use.

• No Panel Separation: The welding process prevents the panels from separating, ensuring a secure and long-lasting cover.

Every pool cover produced at our Missoula, MT facility is meticulously customized to precisely fit the individual pool it is intended to cover. Given the diverse nature of pools, a one-size-fits-all approach is not conducive to achieving optimal results in the realm of pool covers.

To ensure safety and proper installation, certain space requirements must be met. A minimum deck footprint of 35" x 48" or 51" x 48" is needed, depending on the wall height. You will also need a 4' clearance behind the wall for a walkway, 5' clearances on either side of the wall, and a 10' drop zone in the pool.
